IWPE has opened a new call for industry talks, to invite practitioners to share their experience, lessons learned or challenges faced with a wider audience. We solicit proposals for individual short talks (15 minutes) or 3-4 speakers panels (60 minutes) on all dimensions of the privacy engineering practice.

Proposals for industry talks will be submitted as a 1-page PDF including:

  1. Session Title
  2. Short description of session (max 150 words)
  3. Speaker(s): Please provide name, job title, organization and a short biography (2-5 sentences).
  4. Session Outline: Please provide a detailed enough overview of the topics you are going to discuss for the program committee to be able to assess your ideas.
  5. Audience takeaways: Describe what audience members will gain from your talk.

All Industry talk proposals must be submitted as a PDF by email at iwpe24 (at) easychair (dot) org by 15th April 2024.

Industry talk submissions will be carefully evaluated by the IWPE Organizing Committee based on originality, significance and technical soundness. Submissions must be in English.

Sessions are accepted as originally proposed. If any changes need to be made this has to be communicated to the IWPE not later than one week before conference’s date. Speakers must adhere to all deadlines as referred to on the event’s web page.

Industry talks will not be archived. Submission of a talk proposal should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the talk be accepted, all the speakers shall register and attend the workshop for the talk.
